This charm deploys a Windows Active Directory domain infrastructure

Overview

Active Directory (AD) is the central identity role in any Windows based enterprise deployment. It’s an extremely simple and powerful technology that since it’s introduction in Windows 2000 encountered an amazing success. The Active Directory charm deploys a fully scalable and fault tolerant domain infrastructure. Each node includes Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) as part of the same domain, leveraging the Active Directory built-in replication for fault tolerance and load balancing.

Usage

juju deploy active-directory

1	juju deploy active-directory

Scale out usage:

juju add-unit active-directory

1	juju add-unit active-directory

If another unit is added, another domain controller instance will be deployed. It is recommended not to deploy another charm on the same unit.

Scale down usage:

juju destroy-unit active-directory

1	juju destroy-unit active-directory

The machine of the destroyed unit should deallocate itself, as it cannot be used to deploy another charm.
